Construction Manager

Our Clients Construction Managers (CM) are responsible for leading the entire project team on their projects from start to finish in a safe, timely and high quality manner, while increasing their profit margins and keeping their clients happy.

Large commercial CM's should have a combination of technical experience building ground-up projects and strong business sense for contracts, budgets and client relationships.

As the CM, you would have the following project responsibilities:
  • CONTRACT: Supporting the Project Manager (PM) with buying out the project, ensuring that all subcontracts are drafted and executed in a timely fashion.
  • SCHEDULE: Overseeing the development and maintenance of the project schedule, and taking an integral role ensuring a recovery plan is implemented if necessary.
  • BUDGET: Assuming responsibility for profit margins and overseeing all financial aspects of the project.
  • QUALITY: Ensuring quality workmanship on the project and establishing corrective action if below quality standards.
  • SAFETY: Communicating and supporting the corporate safety effort.
  • WARRANTY: Overseeing the project closeout process, ensuring the collection of retainage in a timely manner and managing any work through the warranty period.
  • CUSTOMER SERVICE: Going above and beyond to maintain excellent customer satisfaction at all times. This includes but is certainly not limited to attending all meetings with the Owner's Representatives and being available for feedback, questions and concerns.
Their ideal candidate:
  • Has at least 15 years of construction experience, with at least 10 years in a leadership capacity as the primary Superintendent on Large Commercial/Industrial Construction projects.
  • Has an Associate's Degree or four-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Business. This is helpful, but not required.
  • Is located in Central Texas, or willing to relocate to the area.
  • Is available for frequent travel to jobsites, and able to work unaided in a non-traditional office environment.
  • Is a team player.
  • Is detail-oriented.
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word and Project. We'll teach you what you need to know about ProCore, our Project Management System.
  • Has good mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Is strategic and directive; capable of leading and mentoring several project teams.
  • Can perform with minimal supervision.
