Program Manager / Environmental Scientist (Stream Restoration) – Annapolis, MD

A well-established engineering firm located in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Program Manager (or Environmental Scientist, or Engineer) for stream restoration to work on a variety of ecological restoration projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Qualified applicants should have a minimum of 3 years of project experience in: watershed assessments; stream assessments (geomorphic, biological); stream restoration design and permitting; ecological restoration (wetlands, forest, habitat enhancement, permitting); experience in stormwater management and water resources. Other desired experience includes: familiarity with hydrologic/ hydraulic modeling; water quality monitoring/ modeling and TMDLs, and GIS/ CADD skills. Candidates must have good oral and written communication skills.

B.S. in environmental science, civil engineering, landscape architecture, or related field is required. Maryland experience is desired. EIT or PE is preferred, or years of very strong technical experience in the field.

The preferred candidate will have knowledge of stream restoration design as well as formal natural stream channel design or other specialized training in stream restoration, stream assessment and design and stream geomorphology. A balance of fieldwork and design activities are a plus, and experience using AutoCAD and GIS is preferred but not required.
