The Sr. Windows Engineer will provide both technology and operational leadership for Windows Server infrastructure and Private Cloud. This will include developing and maintaining a consistent, flexible and reliable server environment; which facilitates project delivery, agility, and operational efficiency. This position will also partner with the team in defining technology strategy, standards, best practices for Windows Server environment. The Senior Windows Engineer will also provide day-to-day operational support of the environment including: the design and implementation of DR & HA for mission critical infrastructure and applications, new system delivery, change requests, proactive availability and performance monitoring, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and the resolution of system issues.

Skills, qualifications and experiences are required for this role:

7+ years minimum with extensive Engineering, and Administration experience within a large or enterprise Windows environment
  • Expert Knowledge of Active Directory
  • High level of analysis/troubleshooting skills with Windows 2008 R2 and Windows 2012 R2
  • Experience with enclosures and blades Private or Public Cloud experience preferred, Client technologies preferred
  • Advanced experience with Hyper-V 2008 R2 and or Hyper-V 2012 R2 - extensive experience with VMWare ESX 4x or greater will be considered
  • Advanced knowledge of Networking appliances and technologies such as Cisco or Client switches, routers, firewalls, SSL/VPN and wireless access points
  • Experience with Fiber based SAN technology, creating, modifying LUNS etc - 3PAR knowledge preferred
  • Experience with SAN switches zoning, troubleshooting, analysis and maintenance
  • Engineering and support of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and ADFS
  • Strong Knowledge of Windows 2008 Server Roles, Failover clustering, File/Print etc
  • Operational experience in core MS enterprise applications such SCOM SCVMM, IIS, SQL
  • Experience with Backup procedures and methodology
  • Possess PowerShell scripting and automation experience
  • Experience with DR and HA solutions and technologies
  • Citrix Administration experience preferably within a multiple farm environment and application publishing knowledge
  • Experienced in producing documentation that will provide the design and methodology of solutions and implementations
