The Enterprise Data Architect will participate in the design and prototyping of new models, enhancements to existing models, troubleshooting problems in existing applications, and evangelizing proper design methodologies, patterns, and practices. An ideal candidate should be familiar with working in a diverse mixture of OLTP, OLAP, and reporting environments. Additionally, the candidate should be willing to prepare and present lectures on development technologies with the aim to educate and enhance the skill set of our IT community. The candidate should be familiar with the Microsoft technology in general.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Propose and design technical solutions, policies, and standards
- Enhance existing systems
- Provide remediation for existing system issues
- Mentor the members of the IT department
- Communicate with the business
- Participate in peer reviews
- Produce effective technical documentation where needed

Mandatory requirements:
- 8 years of experience in data architecture with 4 years of Microsoft SQL Server including at least 2 years of working with SQL Server 2008
- Strong data modeling, data architecture and integration skills
- Undergraduate degree a must

Preferred Requirements:
- Lecturing or Teaching Experience
- Java/.NET programming experience
- Knowledge of NO SQL technologies such as key-value stores, document stores, object databases, and/or tabular stores

- Ability to learn new concepts, systems, and software independently and quickly
- Experience in the financial services sector preferred
