Job Description:
Become a part of Front Office development team
Position will be responsible for building solutions for Trading and Execution business units.
The individual will help enhance and support the firms propriety multi-asset class trading platform (OMS/EMS), and will be engaged in numerous projects along those lines.
Prior financial experience or knowledge is helpful - we are looking for candidates with a strong desire to learn about finance and hedge fund strategies.

Core responsibilities will include the following:
  • Architect and develop core components of client's proprietary multi-asset class, OMS/EMS, used by the firms global trading desk.
  • Participate across the entire lifecycle of mission critical applications, including business analysis, design and architecture, development, deployment, and support.
  • Collaborate with our top-notch internal software development team, producing in-house applications and integrating vendor products to deliver rich, enterprise software solutions.
  • Develop deep domain knowledge of trading by sitting on the trading desk, attending industry conferences, broker partner presentations, and reading internally distributed publications.
  • Improve trading efficiencies by minimizing application latency, improving system reliability, and providing fault tolerant 24/5 global availability.
  • Integrate tools, such as pre- and post-trade transaction cost analysis packages, to analyze execution quality of various brokers, algorithms, and exchanges.

Candidates should have the following:
  • A Computer Science degree from a top university (Undergraduate or Graduate).
  • 2 6 years of relevant experience in the financial industry, preferably in a trading environment.
  • Deep understanding of core Java (5+) and application server development, at least a basic knowledge of SQL, and comfort developing in both Windows and Linux environments.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write clearly, interact with various types of personalities, and demonstrate a high-level of professionalism.
  • Desire to learn about finance (CFA, FRM, CAIA or MBA is a plus).
  • Understanding of the following is beneficial: trading, FIX, market structures, trading algorithms, OMS/EMS.
