Job Description:
To provide Administrative Assistant to Director and his Lab Members. 
BA w/Past Experience with high level Executive. (approx. 2  years)  Experience in Outlook, Word, Excel.  If prior experience working with a lab ordering supplies using eReq/Quartzy/Enccompas this would be a greater asset for the position.  

In your role of Administrative Assistant you will assist in both office and lab areas.   As Admin Asst, you are the front person representing the Director and his suite.  You are someone professional, welcoming when visitors arrive, to greet, announce, take coat and offer a beverage.  Also, in some cases after their meeting escort them to their next meeting.  

One of your major roles is to make sure Dr. Massague is running on time for his meetings with all the necessary materials.  While this seems simple there are many details that come with this task and it is important that you are confident, proactive, resourceful, and able to multi-task, ability to follow-up and anticipate Joan's needs.  

On a daily  basis you will be ordering lab supplies, tracking, follow-up and interacting with lab members. There will be many occasions lab members will come and interrupt you asking about lab orders, to meet with Dr. Massague, problems with equipment etc, you must be able to determine the urgency and act accordingly.  Lab members are extremely important to Dr.  Massague so their requests/concerns should be handled in a timely manner.

Process, travel, accounts payable and petty cash forms.  Prepare Fed Ex/UPS shippments

Cover for the Executive Assistant in her absence. 

Occasionally run errands for Dr. Massague.
