*PMP certification from PMI or PM certification from VITA is required - no other certification qualifies.
Project Manager contractor to create plan, manage schedule, communicate with stakeholders, outside customers and to make sure the implementation go as planned and complete prior to schedule time-frame.
The key responsibility is to be successfully delivering identified projects, its objectives and project stages prior to scheduled time-frame. The resources is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals. The resource will create project plan and ensure the project is completed on time, all the objectives are met and deliverables are implemented within specified time-frame. The resource will work with multiple groups, internal and external customers, SMEs, business users, systems analyst and technical resources and bring the group of people to work together to achieve specific objectives. The responsibility includes all aspects of a project from the beginning stages through to completion.
Specific Tasks and deliverables:
Create and execute project work plans, project tasks, timelines and revises as appropriate to meet changing requirements.
Manage and track milestones, deliverables, tasks, due dates, implementation schedule, quality aspects and follow-up with stakeholders and ensure to meet scheduled activities.
Ensure all milestones, deliverables, timelines and implementation are achieved.
Critically evaluates information gathered from multiple sources and reconciles potential conflicts and gap.
Effectively communicate and collaborate project information, project changes and updates to appropriate team members and various stakeholders.
Evaluate, develop, and/or implement standards and procedures for project management methodology, practices, procedures, and tools.
Work with multiple stakeholders, internal and external.
Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope.
Routes work between all responsible people in all stages of project.
Tracks and facilitates team and client meetings to review progress.
Holds regular status meeting with project team, prepare status/progress reports, distributes internally and externally. Deliverables: as scheduled.
Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion. Perform other duties as needed.
Required Experience and Skills:
Must possess PMI PMP certification
7+ years experience managing complex IT projects with diverse cliental group.
5+ years using Microsoft project tool and Microsoft Office suite.
4+ years experience managing and strong understanding of financial systems.
Excellent consultative, listening, communications and analytical skills.
Strong leadership abilities, interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels of management and peers.
Willingness to take ownership and be accountable for delivery of services to the stakeholders.
Strong verbal and written skills is required.
Strong continuous improvement and customer focus.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
Proven experience in people management, risk management and change management.
Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment.
Desired additional skills:
Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software.
