Programmer is responsible for analysis, design, coding, component & assembly testing of all application code owned by the Application Team. Programmers typically are involved in maintenance (including production support), enhancement & development work.

PR 3 -

Years of Relevant Experience: 5 plus years

Preferred Education: 4 year college degree or equivalent technical study


The ideal candidate has knowledge of standard coding concepts, practices, and procedures as well as an understanding of the deployment environment (IIS) and related web protocols. Must be able to work primarily in an open team environment in which project responsibility is shared by the team as well as occasionally work independently. The selected candidate should also be able to demonstrate an ability to learn quickly in a high pace environment.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Prepare coding, testing, and roll-out support for new IT projects and application enhancements

Write and maintain technical and functional specifications

Perform unit testing of programs and reports; create, document, and execute unit testing, evaluate results against specifications, isolate and fix defects

Coordinate activities with other team members for successful transition of the application through development, testing, implementation and maintenance stages

Provide production support for existing systems including trouble-shooting, fixing bugs, and implementing enhancements

Provide subject matter expertise input to team members on workability of designs, architecture, and testing

Research and recommend solutions to divisions requirements as needed
