POSITION: FIELD SUPPORT TECHNICIAN.

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:

Travel to various schools making repairs to equipment
Document ticket status in HEAT help desk program
Provide excellent customer service
Work with team mates to insure problems within SLA.

DAILY DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES: Work at various schools to make repairs to IT equipment working as part of a team to make repairs and make SLAs.

Configures and installs software for IT users' desktops and laptops. Involved in the installation and support of software packages, upgrades and desktop hardware. Also will be responsible for support of printers, audio visual equipment and devices such as ipads and Chromebooks. Will troubleshoot problems submitted by the Tier 1 Help Desk. Documents resolutions and customer communication. May perform end-user training. Strong customer service skills are important in this position. Must share information with other team members and depend on them for uniform resolution of problems.

Technician will need basic tools to complete this work and must have a smart phone which will allow them to receive phone calls, emails and text messages. The district has approximately 80 facilities. Technicians will be assigned a geographic zone and will be responsible for their transportation to and from each site.
