Network Engineer (Cisco)-- CCNP Required
Working alongside a Managed Services client we are working to identify a Network Engineer to join the ranks as a full time employee in their Houston, TX office.

Critical to your success:
  • Cisco ASA and VPN Tunneling experience
  • Cisco UCS
  • Hands-on expertise with Cisco Switches 3560/3750/Nexus 7k
  • Site-to-site, remote access, and SSL VPN experience
  • Big-IP F5 LTM
  • VOIP signaling Protocols: MGCP/SIP/H.323
  • Routing Protocols: BGP/OSPF
  • Experience with Statseeker Monitoring software
  • Expert knowledge of IPv4 and TCP/IP – design, operations, and troubleshooting
  • Routing protocols EIGRP, OSPF, and BGP
  • MPLS design and operations experience a plus
  • VRF configuration and troubleshooting experience a plus
  • A working knowledge of cabling standards – copper, fiber, SAN, etc.
  • CISCO CUCM/Unity version 9.X/10.X
  • Network capacity management and forward planning
  • Wireless deployment experience a plus
  • Demonstrated Enterprise change control experience, configuration management
Day to Day tasks include:
  • Provide support, troubleshooting, and performance monitoring/tuning for the data network at all locations - includes WAN, LAN, Security and campus networks
  • Implement security best practices within network design to minimize vulnerabilities and coordinate security planning
  • Design and optimize data network topology
  • Provide evaluation and recommendations for network improvements and optimization
  • Perform implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure maximum up time
  • Understand and implement security best practices
  • Provide effective audit support related to network design and components
  • Participation in nights and weekends on-call rotation.
  • Cisco CCNP required
  • CCDP and/or CCNP-DC a plus
  • ITIL certifications a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • ~7 years of relevant networking experience
  • Previous service provider experience is a BONUS
