Financial Sales Analyst - GPO/Contracts

Sales Analyst supports the GPO Strategy/Marketing/Systems optimization. He/she will work in conjunction with National Accounts, to provide contract analysis and apply drill-down methods to verify and validate contract optimization and opportunities. The primary focus of this role will be to promote utilization of the GPO contracts, and to capture and report contract impact. This position will support sales team, increasing contract volume growth. The sales analyst will also support the marketing team with analytics around marketing programs and pricing.

• Manage GPO contract spend category and generate annual cost and utilization savings.
• Work with Account Management on bid process and RFP's.
• Work with team on current and existing contracts for renewal process.
• Build configurations, business rules, and data mapping using internal tools
• Interprets and communicates strategic information to sales team and sales management to ensure competitive strategies are understood and executed by Sales, and Marketing
• Exhibit excellent customer service skills.
• Provide project coordination and advanced data analysis support to Contract Managers
• Reviews current, revised, and new Group Purchasing agreements to determine cost benefit to by customer.
• Monitors and supports supplier initiatives and programs developed to ensure compliance to contract portfolio.
• Work with National Accounts on development and execution of the "Implementation Plan”, linkage of contracts and commitment form processing; pricing review and approval from Healthcare Services Operations and Sales & Marketing management.
• Complete management for existing customers and new national accounts generated by sales team by monitoring sales, works with the customer to market, ensure compliance, and profitability.
• Develops and conducts customer business reviews to ensure customer commitment.
• Collaborates with marketing to create up market sales and marketing programs.
• Accountable for staying current and be responsive to competitive threats or service needs in the marketplace.
• Document detailed data import scripting, business rule configuration, workflow, and production job control specifications
• Test data import and workflow after they are developed
• Work with IT personnel to coordinate the receipt and import of historical and on-going daily data into the database
• Actively contribute to the design and implementations of internal process improvements. This involves improvement of manual processes as well as identifying, developing, and implementation of tools that help automate processes

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related technical area required. Master degree desirable
  • 5-10 years of experience demonstrating a propensity for analysis, working with numbers, and ability to take on increased responsibility in a dynamic, fast paced environment with limited direction.
  • Healthcare industry experience required
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience with Cognos, SQL Server, ERP systems
  • Excellent group presentation skills
  • Strong communication skills, strong attention to detail, solid analytical skills
