Provide Direct Technical Contribution for Atypical Work
1. Work with 3rd Party Vendors to design, schedule, and review results of independent testing.
2. Identify capability gaps in our testing process, procedures, approach, and infrastructure.
3. Work on initiatives that cross teams and have non-conforming SDLC, deliverables, or use cases.
4. Accessibility Testing for keeping major properties compliant
5. Work with team members on continuous improvement
6. Investigate anomalies in testing throughput and document root cause.
7. Review production defects to determine which testing approaches, steps, or assets, could have prevented or provided fair warning that the defect was being introduced.
Contributes to the development of Quality Assurance test philosophies and methodologies. Identifies viable test strategies in order to support testing product functionality.
Works with other Quality Assurance Engineers to identify, reproduce, triage, and document bugs or defects.
Additional Preferred Skills:
Candidates should be capable of reading application logs and querying applications via SOAPUI or an equivalent technology. Candidates should be capable of managing defects via Rally, Client LCM, or an equivalent platform. Candidates should be able to code in C# or comparable language. Visual Studio or equivalent tool experience is highly preferred. Must be familiar with the use of configuration management tools. This is an agile shop, candidates should have experience in Agile or equivalent iterative development methodologies. Candidates that are familiar with content management systems such as SiteCore are preferred. Candidates should be able to query a database. Must be able to build out requests for contracts for web services. Must be familiar with standard debugging tools such as Fiddler.
Project Description:
The eBusiness organization is responsible for online commerce and online customer care for Comcast Consumer and Business customers. This position is focused on the "learn and buy” portion of the customer life cycle.
Be a hands on contributor within an agile team. Create and maintain complex automated scripts written in C# which execute using selenium. Insures quality for learn and buy site on the desktop and mobile. Responsible for institutionalizing practices and procedures that cross groups and domains. Responsible for acquiring, maintaining, cataloguing, and grooming our inventory of production test data. Responsible for testing technology, practices, and customer engagement. Sets the tone and pace for work performance within project groups.
