• Manage the functional group's personnel development and technical training plans to ensure continued growth and opportunities for personnel, and maintain an organizational culture that attracts and retains top technical and managerial talent. Lead the day to day operations for a team of professionals, set team goals, perform reviews and challenge team members, remove obstacles, determine technical direction, and lead initiatives
• Facilitate platform solution design and implementations in accordance with GB/BBU policy and vision
• Function as the Technical Management "Subject Matter Expert” for cloud and platform based services
• Proven expertise in leading cloud and platform services and engineering who is passionate about designing, implementing and running both traditional infrastructure as well as cloud-based solutions.
• Continually monitor industry trends and ensures BBU IT capabilities are current and aligned with the business needs
• Establish and maintain cloud standards and implementation documentation
• Collaborate with peers and BBU IT Leadership to continuously mature our service offerings
• Actively contribute to the BBU IT Delivery Management team across all functional areas
• Provide direction to a cross-functional team (partner & staff) focused on designing and supporting scalable and reliable solutions
• Interpret business strategy and develop organizational objectives to align with the platform services strategy
• Oversee the administration, health, lifecycle management, risk mitigation and process compliance during delivery of projects
• Manage multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast paced environment
• Ensure services are delivered and supported cost effectively and that total cost is defined for specific initiatives
• Responsible for design and delivery of platform services across organization
• Increase standardization of core processes; improve processes in support of strategic imperatives and programs
• Maintains and manages technical relationships with vendors. Develop and manage relationships with suppliers and managed service partners, including negotiation of service costs/terms
• Work with vendors to implement product feature improvements for reliability, availability, and serviceability. Build and maintain relationships with major technology suppliers to continuously explore opportunities to increase the business value of products and services received
• Oversee architecture and engineering effort and ensure that solutions are being developed in accordance to business requirements
• Coordinate integration and operationalization of all acquisitions and divestitures.
• Develop, manage, and contribute to short - term planning and long - term strategy to deliver end user computing and mobility initiatives that meet business needs, including innovation where appropriate and while maintaining a flat or declining service cost
• Identify new and emerging methodologies to ensure best in class service solutions
• Maintain operational budget accuracy and project future capital expenditure
Key IT Experience:
• Managed and lead highly skilled technical matrix teams (internal and external) for large scale, enterprise-wide full lifecycle projects, architecture, design, build, deploy and run
• Advanced knowledge of cloud architectures, AWS, Azure, Enterprise Data Centers
• Ability to set vision and lead an environment consisting of multiple teams.
• In-depth knowledge of IT concepts, strategies and methodologies and their application to business opportunities.
• In-depth knowledge of project planning methodologies and tools and IT standards
• Advanced experience working with global vendors in highly complex environments
• Specific experience with and/or management of the following:
o Platform knowledge and experience:
o Data Center, Distributed, and Cloud
o Virtualization and VMWare
o AS/400, Windows, UNIX, Linux
o High Availability and Clustering
o Storage platforms
o Back-up and Recovery
Education and Work History:
BA/BS – Required
MA/MS/MBA - Preferred
10-15 years of experience in IT

Project Description:
The Senior Manager Platform Services will be responsible for leading a team of cross functional resources responsible for architecting, developing, deploying, and maintaining heterogeneous infrastructures spanning datacenter and cloud based platform technologies. Continually identify and drive process and resiliency improvements. Understands the business and technology requirements to drive solution design and assist with implementations to ensure proper business outcomes. Build strong relationships with peers and business stakeholders to become a trusted advisor working in a 7X24X365 environment with over 1,000 locations with 8,000+ personal computers, 1,000+ Tablets, 4,500+ mobile devices and 800+ servers where service availability and end-user productivity is key. This role will report into the Director-Infrastructure and Operations
