Duration of Job: 1 Year + open ended indefinite contract assignment

Must have experience with scaffolding, fall protection, excavation, rigging, and hoisting. Must have experience with either industrial or commercial buildings. Experience with refineries, chemical plants or high rise buildings with a minimum of 3 - 4 stories is mandatory. Heavy OSHA experience is required!

Projects involve oversight of construction and maintenance of campus wide building mechanical and electrical systems such as: Building systems in the Facilities include: Steam & condensate systems Mechanical Building systems Electrical Building systems Exhaust/ventilation systems (HVAC) Compressed air systems Piping and plumbing systems Fume hood systems Building controls and instrumentation Lighting and electrical equipment Building exterior walls and roofs Site work: roads, sidewalks, utilities Interior finishes: ceilings, walls and flooring

Experience and Duties: 15 – 20 years of experience. Projects are 150k or less, will be responsible for the entire job. Not looking for just an employee in the field client would like someone who has business knowledge as well. Construction Inspection experience required. Confined space entry experience. Interior Building Mechanical / Electrical systems experience. Overseeing outside contractors. Responsible for Safety, schedule, budget Coordinate and provide oversight during construction, along with ensuring the work is conducted safely in accordance with OSHA and facility procedures. Ensure the work is done according to scope, ensuring the quality of work through inspections, validating: effort, labor & materials and the proper closeout of work. You will provide support to the Campus Facilities construction and maintenance group performing work for the facility & infrastructure. Responsible for safety oversight of contractors on construction projects at the site. Responsible as a Field Project Specialist in the Rapid Response Department for the development and implementation of maintenance, modification, construction and rehabilitation work for campus Facilities and buildings. Specific day-to-day operations in each facility may include: Provide technical support for Building systems construction and maintenance projects within a large facility and campus setting. Coordinate task work orders in the field. Meet with internal stakeholders to define and estimate work followed by the management of skilled tradesman, crafts and personnel performing the service request work. prepare work scope, conduct pre-work walk through and oversight of work after award. Coordinate and provide oversight during construction, along with ensuring the work is conducted safely in accordance with procedures. Ensure the work is done according to scope, ensuring the quality of work through inspections, validating: effort, labor & materials and the proper closeout of work. Functions as a commissioning agent for new installations as well as modifications, repair and overhaul of systems including but not limited to building systems, infrastructure systems. Mechanical & electrical equipment, HVAC systems, and utility systems.
