Important for the person to have experience with vibration analysis.  This broadly known as condition monitoring or machine monitoring. Usually that involves mostly vibration analysis. It can also include temperature monitoring, lubrication analysis, laser alignment, rotational speed monitoring.

Company is a world leader in the design, manufacturing, and sales of rolling element bearings, constant velocity joints, and other precision equipment. Client is looking for a Condition Monitoring Program Manager. This newly formed position is charged with developing a fully realized condition monitoring solution to launch in the North American industrial manufacturing and machinery markets; complete with product/service development roadmap and proof of concept, go-to-market strategy, and end-to-end sourcing/capital management strategy. The position reports to the Manager of Business Innovation.

This role suits those with experience in applications engineering, product/program management and condition monitoring solution architecture. End-to-end technical domain knowledge is required; from hardware to processing and data analytics. A deep understanding of power transmission systems, rotational mechanics, bearing design and failure diagnostics, and machine health is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
  • Gather and translate customer and market requirements into workable Co. offering, iterating as necessary
  • Integrate and synergize the solution within Co.'s current rolling element bearing product offering
  • Assist in the formation of Co.'s competitive position and go-to-market strategy
  • Design, source and test proofs of concept within Co. and with target customers
  • Work with Company in Japan and Europe to gain a comprehensive understanding of existing technology and determine how best to adapt it for success in the U.S.
  • Develop and deploy solution design and architecture decisions; relating to physical product design, sensor configuration and design, source signal(s) determination, software solutions, data transfer and storage, maintenance services, among others
  • Lead a cross functional team at Co. to bring a solution to market
Qualifications
  • BS or higher in one of the following disciplines: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, applied mathematics, physics
  • 5 plus years technical experience with machine condition monitoring or predictive maintenance, preferably related to bearings and their applications
  • 5 plus years of industrial experience related to rotational equipment; preferably motors and drive systems, power train, bearings, or manufacturing and maintenance
  • Thorough understanding of the development and implementation of proof of concept test plans and results analysis
  • Experience with product/program management and market strategies
  • Experience leading large, multidiscipline, teams
  • Experience building end-to-end product solutions in the condition monitoring space
  • Experience developing business case justifications and expenditure plans
  • Excellent communication skills including giving presentations, writing reports, leading meetings
  • Ability to travel to customer locations and global Company locations
