Pay Rate:  $40,000 plus straight time over 40 hours,
Eligible for discretionary annual bonus

The Quality Group Leader is responsible for ensuring goals are met in accordance with quality and safety goals as well as oversee, manage, lead, and develop a highly experienced skills workforce within a Union environment.  The position works directly with the Operations Manager and Inspection Associates.
  • Train, develop and evaluate staff.
  • Clearly articulates the business direction to team members and ensures it is understood and embraced.
  • Support management in the development of planning, policies, programs, and objectives.
  • Fosters a team environment in which new knowledge and ideas drive growth. 
  • Ensure all team members are actively pursuing completion of department development plan. 
  • Provide effective feedback and coaching to team members.
  • Supervise daily activities in the department.
  • Schedule team members to meet the demands of the business.
  • Resolution of issues (service, quality, costs).
  • Manage and oversee administrative functions to ensure that all paperwork is processed efficiently and in a timely manner and meets all compliance requirements.
Assure safety related activities i.e. safety talks, through accident investigation, good housekeeping are maintained and followed continously.
  • Four (4) years of supervision in a manufacturing environment.
  • Four (4) years of a quality background in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with metric gauges, calipers, rules, and calibrating equipment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
  • Exposure with a union environment.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and multitask.
  • Must be a good Communicator.
Recommended: Statistical Process Control training, Gauge Management software, knowledge of IATF or ISO 9000, and attention to detail.
