7 + years of related experience in payroll.
Preferred: Certified Payroll Professional designation. Associate's degree. In lieu of an Associate's degree, 10 + years of payroll administration experience will be considered equivalent.
Preferred: Experience processing domestic and international payroll through an outside service provider (Paycom, ADP, Ceridian, etc.) • Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products, Excel and Word. • Strong math skills to calculate payments and deductions. • Good planning and organizational skills. • Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills. • Effective oral and written communication skills. • Effective analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently. • Working knowledge of copy and postage equipment
Required: Essential Functions: • Administer the calculation and entering of wage assignments, garnishments, levies, workers' compensation payments, leave and disability pay; calculate and prepare manual checks and update the system with the information; process moving `expenses, performance awards, education reimbursements and severance payments. • Explain payroll and time entry policies and procedures; research and respond to inquiries from management, employees and third parties. • Prepare, balance and distribute payroll funding requests and associated vendor payments for all payrolls; prepare and enter adjustments in system to correct employee records. • Review time-entry validation and other payroll reports to verify accuracy of time-entry and resulting pay implications; follow-up to ensure accurate and complete payroll entries. • Reconcile payroll-related activity accounts and interact with accounting to clear reconciling items; balance current, month-to-date and year-to-date payroll registers • Establish and maintain company and employee payroll records, including earnings and deductions and tax withholding setup and maintenance; periodically audit accuracy of system data. • Identify process improvement initiatives and define standards for new processes; provide input and assistance for payroll projects.

Responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of payroll processing of the bi-weekly and weekly payrolls, preparation of funding's, reconciliations and related reports. This position will operate as the payroll subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve issues and continuously look for improvements in payroll processes and designs and implement those initiatives.
