Title: Manual QA Test Analyst in MS.Net, 17-00760
Location: Libertyville. IL
Duration: 12 Months
  • Interview Mode: Phone + Face to Face, In-person (NO EXCEPTIONS)
  • I will consider out of state candidates BUT THEY MUST BE ABLE TO INTERVIEW IN PERSON AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE!!!
  • This is a MANUAL TESTER--What is really important is that the Hiring Manager is going to look for Strong SQL skills with writing queries.
  • They use Rapid SQL so if someone has that it is going to make them stand out.
  • It is also very important that they have experience with testing .Net applications, and use SOAP UI to test web services and complex interfaces and know how to run jobs and how to do output files.
  • Even though this is a Manual Tester, the ideal candidate will need to work with the Automated Team to know how to execute and run the automated scripts but they don't create the automated scripts.
Years of Experience: Minimum years of experience needed
  • 3-10 years in software testing
  • Experience in writing basic SQL queries
  • Experience with Test management and defect management tools
  • Experience with Oracle and MS SQL databases
  • Experience with SOAP UI or any other Web service testing tools
  • Experience working in Agile, Waterfall methodologies

Role Responsibilities:
  • List essential functions in order of importance; include percentage of time spent performing each function (total should equal 100%)
Test Planning (5%)
  • Create test strategies for less complex projects
  • Create test plans
Test case creation and execution (90%)
  • Develop test cases and scripts from functional and business requirements
  • Develop test data requirements and work with test data team to get test data.
  • Work with test environment team to set up test environment/jobs required for test execution.
  • Execute manual and leverage automated test cases where applicable
  • Open defect, Retest fixed defects, identify regression test scope for fixed defect
Test Closure (5%):
  • Create final test summary and sign off report.
  • Support UAT testing with test data coordination, test environment and jobs
  • Create Defect reports
