MUST:
Experienced Accounts Receivable
Experienced in oncology a huge plus
5 + years of experience in a private medical practice
Strong experience working with insurance companies
Posting charges
Collections
Experience setting up financial arrangements with patients

Strong levels of confidentiality and discretion
Must be able to multitask
High level of attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, written, in person and over the phone
Ability to deal with patients and insurance companies professionally
Experience processing claims
Bachelors a huge plus


DUTIES:
The Accounts Receivable/Medical Billing candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Account follow-up for all assigned accounts
Resolving billing problems and answering patient inquiries
Handle collections to keep accounts receivable current
Monitoring for delinquent payments
Sets up financial arrangements as needed.
Performs audits of patient accounts to ensure accuracy and timely payment
Contacts patients regarding delinquent accounts
Follows up on insurance billing to ensure timely receipt of payments
Receives and resolves patient billing complaints and questions
Initiates adjustments as necessary
Exercises all options to obtain claim payments
Performs reconciliation of refund accounts
Reviews appropriate files to identify deceased patients and estates
Verifies dollar amounts and files estate to appropriate court in a timely manner
Contacts patients to resolve problems
Responds to correspondence from patients about accounts
