MUST:

4+ years of electro-optical engineering
Strong experience in one or more of the following: electro—optics, thermal imaging, low light image intensification, laser, augmented reality, or machine learning
Experience performing requirements decomposition, analysis of system performance, and specification
generation and compliance
Experience preparing technical reports and field tests related to electro-optic devices and systems and experience in Army programs acquisitions is highly desirable
Excellent communication and excellent writing and editing skills
Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint and MS Project required
DAU level 2 or higher cert (engineering cert preferred)
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or science field preferred
Active DoD Secret Clearance

DUTIES:
Candidate will conduct research to develop, demonstrate, test and evaluate Soldier Sensor systems and devices
Job involves the exploitation of basic scientific knowledge through a series of sequential phases beginning with the establishment of requirements, development of a concept, definition of critical features and problems, development of a prototype design, and testing and evaluation of the concept for a completed product
Provide system engineering support and advice for system integration on new platforms when required
Able to design and develop prototypes, breadboards, brass-boards, components, technology demonstrators, and engineering models including fabrication
Develop standards and test plans to ensure reliability; technically coordinate and/or manage specific development being executed
Evaluate project initiatives, designs, and design changes at the system level for cost/schedule/performance
impacts. Interface with all members of a multi-disciplinary product team to resolve system engineering issues and actions
Identify system requirements and work with other engineers and staff to oversee system design, development, integration, and product verification testing at the component and system level
Performs other duties as assigned
