MUST:
Accounting Manager
5+ years prior experience in the financial reporting area.
Previous managerial experience required.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.
Must be self-motivated, positive in approach, and possess a professional demeanor.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in Accounting; CPA or candidate is a must.

DUTIES:
Develop a thorough understanding of the financial structure for multiple branches, departments, and profit centers for reporting to management on the financial operations of the agency.
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
Accountable for the quality of revenue reporting by the organization and timely handling of billing issues for agency or direct bill activities.
Manage the daily banking relationships and any hardware or software setups for interface.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities, as needed.
Manage the corporate tax and state nexus requirement along with necessary filings.
Manage the Company/Broker/Vendor maintenance in the system to include 1099s and W-9s.
Review internal control processes to ensure adequate segregation of approval and authorization functions both within and outside of the department.
Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy and timeliness.
Respond to inquiries from CFO, CEO, COO regarding results, details and special requests.
Work with Compensation Director to provide support for the compensation expenses on the financial reports to obtain drill down information using ADP or other related headcount processes.
Assist in development of procedures and a department manual; and provide training to staff, as needed.
Manage personnel needs with support from the Human Resources Manager.
