Audio Visual (AV) Engineer/Installer
Centreville, VA

MUST:
Experienced Audio Visual (AV) Engineer/Installer
3-5 years professional experience
AV lead experience nice to have
Hands on experience with AMX, Creston
Experience in installation of flat panel monitors, projectors and screens
Experience in installation of control systems such as AMX and Crestron
Familiarity with computer interface installation
Experience in dressing racks to ensure professional installation and ease of maintenance
Demonstrated ability to perform equipment installations in conference rooms, videoconference rooms, multi-screen cube walls and a variety of other sophisticated electronic systems
Possess strong basic computer skills related to Internet Explorer, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, and Excel)
Familiarity with the installation of high resolution cameras, high resolution switchers, routers, audio and video amplifiers, computer interfaces, scalers, converters, flat panel monitors, video projectors, codecs, DVDs and control systems
Experience in the installation of audio, video, control, RF and fiber cabling
Requires the ability to regularly lift a minimum of 50lbs.
Strong mechanical skills and experience in working with power tools
Experience in CATV and satellite a plus
Broadcast experience in installation a plus
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
Position requires maintaining valid driver's license
Open to travel in the Washington, DC Metro area
Secret DOD clearance.

DUTIES:
Evaluates and selects the hardware components necessary to build and install an Audio/Visual System specific to client requirements
Provides technical consultation to sales and AV technical personnel
Ability to read or create architectural drawings that illustrate the intended placement of Audio/Visual components, i.e., floor plans, ceiling plans, elevations, etc.
Ability to read and/or create schematic drawings that illustrate the connectivity of all components in an Audio/Visual System
Create equipment lists that represent all of the intended functionality of an Audio/Visual System
Attend meetings and conduct site visits as needed to assist client needs and structural conditions prior to system development
Provide technical support to field technicians when problems arise, i.e., equipment does not function as intended
Maintain current knowledge of manufacturers' offerings, capabilities and trends in the audio visual industry
Attend manufactures training and maintain certifications as required
Other related duties as may, from time to time, be assigned by the supervisor
