Experienced Software Engineer
2+ years of experience as a Software developer

Software development proficiency in Linux and Windows environments and C/C++ and .NET C# languages using a variety of microprocessors
Knowledgeable in Linux and Windows device driver development
Familiar with storage interface standards including SATA, SAS, and NVMe

Knowledge of assembly and high level languages for multiple processor types
Familiar with TCP/IP and UDP network communications
Familiarity with test instruments and ability to educate/support others with the use of such instruments
Familiar with basic digital signal processing
Strong analytical skills and knowledge of industry standards and performance specifications
Ability to interact with software/test, technicians, quality assurance, manufacturing, tech support, field applications engineers, interns, and subcontractors
Thorough understanding of the underlying principles of software design
Demonstrated technical knowledge of digital or communication processing systems design
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field

Must be able to obtain security clearance


Design, implementation, maintenance and support of product software including but not limited to embedded firmware, user interface (UI/UX) product control software, signals analysis & manipulation software, digital signal processing software, and PC-based support tools
Actively participate in all phases of the product development life cycle
Create and maintain project and product documentation including system requirements and specifications, preliminary and detailed design documentation, interface control definition, test plans, version control, user manuals, and manufacturing and build instructions
Allocate functions and features to system hardware and software elements
Prepare and maintain project tracking system, keeping management apprised of project progress, technical challenges, and recovery actions
Support customer meetings and demonstrations
Provide assistance to sales and management to prioritize and schedule resolution consistent with customer and sales needs
Deliver initial system and on-going software updates on promised schedule
Ensure that all software releases are fully tested and validated
Technical assistance to sales, customer service and customers as required including travel
Technical support and sustaining engineering for manufacturing operations
Other tasks as required by the Engineering Manager
