MUST:
(2)+ years of Womens Health experience
Must be a Licensed Licensed Practical Nurse in VA
Must have a valid up to date License

Current ACLS, BLS certification
Valid CPR Card
Must be polished and professional

DUTIES:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Assisting the doctor with patient flow
Assisting the patients with any questions or concerns they may have in regards to fertility
Counsel patients on initial visit regarding ovulation induction and infertility treatment.
Perform routine in-office examinations and procedures as necessary.
Coordinate ovulation induction cycles for patients as directed by practice physicians.
Coordinate and implement patient teaching for ovulation induction.
Maintain ovulation induction cycle log and ovulation induction treatment cardex.
Perform routine patient assessment as necessary (i.e., height weight, vital signs).
Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
Review patient's chart to identify potential medical problems which require evaluation prior to proceeding with ovulation induction treatment.
Perform phlebotomy, cultures and intrauterine inseminations.
Participate in medication administration.
Participate in daily meeting for review of patient results and instructions.
Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations and calling for assistance from other health care support personnel when appropriate.
Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations.
Teach medication instruction.
Patient counseling and anticipatory guidance.
Communication of physician orders and instructions.
Communication of lab results with appropriate interpretation and explanation
Phone triage of patient calls
Post treatment cycle follow up
