MUST:
Experienced AWS Cloud Architect
5+ years of infrastructure experience
Expertise in Red Hat, Ubuntu and CentOS operating systems
Expertise in Windows operating systems
Expertise in network architecture, including load-balancing, DNS, BGP, IPSec VPNs, and active-active data centers
Experience with overarching AWS Network Design including the usage of Transit Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), overarching VPC enterprise services design
Expertise in security best practices and use of firewalls, IPS/IDS, encryption, and incident response
Experience implementing off premise monitoring and logging solutions with on premise tools
Expertise in storage design for high availability and disaster recovery
Familiar with the interworking of Web applications and relational databases
Hands-on experience with AWS GovCloud
Participate in and evaluate proof-of-concepts for server, storage, network, and security technologies to support the cloud infrastructure
Create automated processes using well-known languages and frameworks
Must be detail oriented, organized, and have the ability to multi-task
Exceptional problem-solving skills
Experience with automation tools including Chef, Puppet, Ansible, and others
Experience with security concepts / best practices
Thorough understanding of Government procurement policies and practices
Strong presentation, executive client management, and business development skills along with ability to create concise documentation for both technical and nontechnical audiences
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Customer service experience / strong customer focus
Someone who is a self-starter, able to adapt quickly, great listener, & has great follow up skills
Demonstrated ability to have successfully completed multiple, complex technical projects
AWS Solutions Architect Certification preferred
Bachelor's – preferred
Active Top Secret Clearance


DUTIES:
Provide guidance of the strategic direction and roadmaps related to taking FBI systems/applications to the Amazon GovCloud instance
Responsible for assisting a federal customer understand and implement best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and how to scale the existing cloud solution
Responsible for architecting and designing solutions for the AWS Cloud platform
Provide guidance and training to other engineering members of the team
Provide guidance of the strategic direction and roadmaps related to taking FBI systems/applications/services to the Amazon GovCloud instance
Provide guidance and best practices in designing and implementing AWS GovCloud services, as well as playbook creation
Design architectural and engineering roadmaps regarding the AWS Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) architecture
Develop a set of standards that are consistent across the AWS IaaS
Develop and implement internal systems, processes, and best practices to be used by the Project team and the Operational teams designed to increase productivity
Participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment, security, and high availability in the cloud
Recommend architecture to meet business requirements
Design and maintain the customer facing technologies with a focus on Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS)
Design compute, storage, network, and security infrastructure
Create and implement automation for cloud platforms
Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards
Troubleshoot non-operational and production issues
Verify and resolve configuration and other non-software related issues
Create documentation around the setup, implementation, and design of the environment
Provide technical oversight, review, and quality control
Act as an escalation point / SME for AWS related technical issues and decisions
Act in a "Trusted Advisor " role for our Federal customer to foster a long-term relationship
Identify and develop new opportunities within the customer environment where they can continue to scale the cloud environment
Maintain technical certifications as required by the organization
