MUST: Surgical Tech/ Sterile Processing
Experienced Surgical Tech
Current CPR
Completed Surgical Assistant program
Certified and/or eligible for certification is a plus
2- 5 years prior experience as a surgical tech with sterile processing experience
Must have experience first assisting all specialties and willing to take call
Associates Degree, specialized in operating scrub technology
Orthopeadic Experience
Spine Experience

The Surgical Tech will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Responsible for performing second assist functions for surgical intervention, preparing supplies and equipment, preparing specimens for lab and requesting exams as required.
Transporting patients, maintaining and sterilizing equipment, assisting with O/R set-up. Qualifications include knowledge of anatomical structures and terminology, sterile processing techniques and operation of autoclave machine.
Passing of instruments in the Operating Room

Scrub in the Operating Room
Sterile processing of equipment
Manual dexterity. Moderate physical effort; Physical mobility with ability to lift, push or pull up to and including 35 lbs. Walking, standing, sitting for prolonged periods.
Handling of patients including lifts, rolls, transfers, etc. with the use of mandatory Safe Patient Lifting Equipment.
Ability to perform CPR and respond to emergency situations including potential takedowns or restraints. Ability to appropriately wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
Must have completed a technician training course
