 ARC Group has an immediate opportunity in Jacksonville, FL for a Java Developer. This is a W2 contract position initially projected to run through August 2019 with potential to extend longer into 2020. 

Candidates must able to work directly on our W2, if you have an employer then we cannot submit you.  You must able to work as our W2 employee for the contract without tranfser of visa. 


•Write code for complex system designs. Write programs that span platforms. Code to and/or create Application Programming Interfaces (APIs)
•Write code mostly for developing new programs
•Review code developed by other Developers
•Provide input to and drive programming standards
•Write detailed technical specifications for entire systems (made up of several subsystems). Identify integration points. Review technical specs created by other developers. Ensure sufficient quality and compliance of documentation to architectural standards
•Consult with other Developers, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts and Project Managers
•"Scope” time, resources, etc. required to complete programming projects. Seek review from other Developers, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts or Project Managers on estimates. Incorporate other Developer's scope information into own scope document (for integration points)
•Perform unit testing and debugging. Set test conditions based upon code specifications. Able to debug most program errors (simple to complex). May seek assistance from vendors to debug complex errors
•Support transition of application throughout the Product Development life cycle. Document what has to be migrated. Often requires more coordination points for transitioning systems. Document what has to be migrated / file properties
•Work on integration issues and determines the integration approach. Coordinate with other areas for integration architecture solutions


•More than 8+ yrs Experience in Java/J2EE related technologies like MQ/Spring/JMS/Core Java / Design Patterns / XML / JSON / SOAP Web service / Rest Web Service
•Strong SQL skills and good experience with databases like Oracle/DB2.
•Bachelor's degree in an IT related field or equivalent work experience
•Proficiency using versioning tools


•Experience using Agile methodology
•Specific tools, languages and specialty skills may vary

  • Demonstrated Proficiency with: ¿Java / J2EE technologies
  • Various frameworks (i.e. – JSF, Spring, Hibernet, MyBatis, etc.)
  • Developing service oriented applications and Web Services
  • XML, XSD
  • IBM Websphere v7 or above
  • IBM Integration Bus
  • Messaging systems (WebSphere MQ)
  • SQL / PL SQL or similar query language for DB2, UDB, or Oracle
  • Versioning with Subversion (SVN) or similar systems
  • IDE / Eclipse / RAD or similar development and debugging tools
