System Support Administrator
 
Responsibilities:
  • Performing/supporting installation, configuration, administration, implementation, scheduling, and/or tuning of applications
  • Providing support to address system/production performance concerns
  • Collaborating with various internal groups and external vendors to ensure all specifications are met and problems are resolved as they arise
  • Monitoring and reporting on scheduled batch and online applications for successful/unsuccessful execution
  • Performing testing responsibilities as needed
  • Communicating with applications on-call staff to repair applications that end abnormally
  • Participating in work sessions and walkthroughs for quality and production implementations, releases, data conversion projects, and/or disaster recovery exercises
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or 4 years combined related education and experience or 4 years of equivalent job related work experience
  • Ability to obtain a low-level U.S. security clearance, which requires thorough background screens and U.S. citizenship
  • 3 years of technical experience with systems analysis, design, and/or programming experience
  • Coding experience in Java, C++, or Perl
  • Strong understanding of servers, networks, IPs, and PC/non-host infrastructure
  • Experience troubleshooting application failures
