Job Description
Our Client in Lenoir, NC is looking for a Production Manager to oversee all production and shipping in the facility. This is a "hands-on” position requiring daily on-line participation for all processes. The successful candidate will facilitate open communication among employees with the goal of seeking others' ideas on how to improve processes and safety to achieve cost effective solutions resulting in achieving an accident free workplace, high productivity and improved product quality.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned)
· Provide all production planning and scheduling to meet delivery requirements
· Control manufacturing and shipping processes to meet quality and productivity standards
· Minimize waste streams and implement effective cost controls
· Manage (3+) Department Supervisors and (15+) direct labor staff for optimal utilization
· Optimize and preserve raw material, product and supplies inventories
· Maintain adherence to EHS policies and procedures throughout all facility operations
· Foster an environment of continuous improvement
· Minimize waste streams and implement effective cost controls
· Work safely and responsibly and insure all personnel and non-personnel entering the facility understand the requirements of a safe facility. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and standards.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
· Bachelor's degree
· 7+ years experience in related production manufacturing environment
· Knowledge of or familiarity of Adhesive/Insulative Tapes for wire and cabling
· Basic understanding of and experience with compounding, pressurized systems including vessels, pump operations, filtration, fluid flow, volumetric filling, and gravimetric weighing methods.
· Knowledge in the use of IS0-9001, ISO 14001) and product standards ( UL)
· Working knowledge in the use of and safe handling of hazardous materials related to the Adhesives and Coatings industry.
· Knowledge in the use of Lean concepts and methods ( 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Right First Time) is desirable.
· Good problem solving, experimentation and analytical skills
· Strong communications and computer skills
· Ability to efficiently manage multiple priorities
