Lead Systems Architect - Pega

HSI seeks a Lead Systems Architect with Pega for a contract in the Washington, DC area.

US Citizens only - due to a client requirement

Work independently as a member of a project team, serve as subject matter expert, mentor and leader for the deployment, integration, operation, performance and scalability of Pega software products.

Achieve goals through hands-on work and guiding and mentoring customers, partners and coworkers on infrastructure, operations and performance aspects of our clients based software solution.

In this role, you will:

Provide expert services, leadership and mentoring for deployment, operations, integration, performance, tuning, management and monitoring of Pega7 applications.
Travel to customer sites, remotely access customer networks or work with cloud-hosted infrastructure as per each customer's deployment and team structure.
Work as a member of an elite and experienced technical team.
Provide expertise and knowledge of Pega products, third party infrastructure products including databases, Java application servers and operating systems and a range of integration technologies possibly including SOAP, REST, MQ/JMS, EJB, CTI and others.
Configure infrastructure stack and install/deploy Pega Products.
Utilize Pega performance tools to analyze application performance and scalability and produce recommendations for development teams, DBA's and system administrators.
Leverage infrastructure tooling such as AWR, SAR, PMAT and NMON to assess performance and capacity. When possible use third party performance packages such as Dynatrace, Wiley and AppDynamics to complement our clients internal tooling.
Assess and understand customer's enterprise to ensure that system architectures are functional, robust and appropriate for the specific business and technical needs.
Communicate with and guide customers and partners to see the best course of action.
Deliver written reports detailing findings, recommendations and any actions taken.
Complete administrative duties such as time and expenses on a timely basis.

The Person:

Ideal candidates must be self-motivated with a proven track record in application deployment, performance and operations. This role requires a broad technical background with insight and understanding to all levels of web application architecture.

Proven experience and achievement in development, performance, deployment and operations of scalable enterprise applications.
Expertise in a mixture of technologies preferably including database performance and query tuning, application server configuration and tuning, Java, load/performance testing, performance tuning, chat, cti and application development.
Solid scripting skills in Windows, Linux/Unix or other enterprise platform such as Z/OS.
SQL savviness and architectural insight into one or more RDBMS, preferably Oracle, Postgres, UDB, MSSQL or DB2/Z, or equivalent NoSQL such as Hadoop or Mongo.
