Network Engineer

Location: New York, New York
Responsible for the implementation, enhancement, and troubleshooting of the network infrastructure. Someone who has the strong background with routers and firewall operations and a thorough understanding of maintaining an environment of high security. Someone who is organized, able to work with distributed teams, while also capable to manage projects independently they will be working with the latest technologies, CCNP certification is strongly preferred.

Day to day responsibilities: Configures, tests, and maintains LAN/WAN network equipment and related services across multiple geographies.
dentifies, diagnoses, and resolves network problems of varying degrees of complexity. Installation and maintenance of network hardware in remote co-location facilities as directed by the Lead Network Engineer.
Assist in network operating system patches and software upgrades, and routine hardware configuration.
24x7 on-call rotation.

Skillset: 5+ years in IT with a focus in networking at least 2+ years designing/implementing enterprise networks.
Experience with Cisco NX-OS, and IOS-XE (PANOS a Plus), network virtualization.
Experience with Firewall configuration and maintenance.
Security centric with experience in crypto technologies (IKE, IPSEC, SSL).
A working knowledge of dynamic routing protocols (i.e. OSPF, BGP a big plus).
Palo Alto Networks Firewall Experience and Silver-Peak Experience (Wan Optimization and SDWAN). Experience with BGP, QoS, F5 Load-Balancers and Python Scripting.
