Software Engineer Lead

HSI is seeking a Software Engineer for our Client located in Stamford, CT. The Software Engineer will function as the technical expert within Products and Services, Company's innovation group. Products and Services functions much like an autonomous startup within Organization. You will have a seat at the table driving our business decisions and helping us bring new products to market. This is an ideal role for a software developer that aspires to be a startup founder in the future.

You Will:

Collaborate with your peers to brainstorm new ideas and then evaluate the merits of each idea through an iterative development process.
  • Work on a team that builds and deploys whatever is necessary to validate a business concept (this team prides itself on self sufficiency and independence).
  • Be responsible for the execution of your ideas from start to finish and ensure that a measurable outcome is reached.
  • Work with other departments to transition your MVP into a scalable solution when a successful idea is discovered.
  • Primarily build software that supports consumer facing web applications. Experience with APIs and mobile apps is required.

Technical- this role is expected to write both front end and back end code. If you are familiar with Java/Grails, AWS and Git you will fit in perfectly. You will work with our frontend developer to integrate UI components so you should be comfortable with basic HTML, JS and CSS.
