Pre Sales Engineer/Solutions Architect

Our firm is in search of a highly motivated and professional Solution Architect to support our growing sales organization. The Solution Architect provides technical support to the sales team and also interacts directly with customers on a regular basis. The Solution Architect helps to qualify opportunities, solves technical challenges during sales engagements, clarifies specifications and requirements, provides technical presentations, and conducts data center tours and demonstrations.

JOB SCOPE:
  • Actively participate in the sales engagement process
  • Act as the technical lead on client engagements, both pre-sale and post-sale
  • Ensure accurate technical content of all customer sales orders and presentations
  • Conduct margin analysis on large and complex deals
  • Assist customer provisioning as needed for post-sale implementation
  • Maintain updated knowledge of all our firms products and services
  • Assist with technical responses and strategy for RFPs and other complex engagements
  • Provide technical write-ups for client solutions
  • Lead technical training for the sales team on a regular, rotating basis

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Acute familiarity with server, networking, and storage platforms
  • Expertise in cloud computing technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Xen, KVM, OpenStack, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Data center environments
  • Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery solutions (Veeam, Zerto, Commvault, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Unix, Windows, etc.)
  • Must have functional knowledge of TCP/IP networking
  • Must be knowledgable enough to build a commodity server from scratch
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION :
  • 3-5 years in the ISP/Data center/Managed Services industry or related field providing technical sales support
  • Professional qualification or a degree in a technical discipline
