Project Overview: We are looking for a proactive, hard-working EHS technician/specialist to assist with Environmental, Health and Safety tasks at the DLS datacenter for a period of at least 5 months while employee is on leave. The data center has a dynamic yet fun atmosphere with multiple challenges and we need someone who takes initiative to resolve issues and help reduce the safety and environmental risks to our operations. Ideally this person doesn't require extensive direct supervision except for initial instruction and expected deliverables. We appreciate creative ideas and new ways of solving problems.

Overall Responsibilities:
Title: Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Engineering Support Overview:
The roles and responsibilities outlined here are intended to provide guidance for EHS acting as the owner's representative at our client's sustaining EHS activities. The primary functions are to support the our client DC EHS team (owner's team) in EHS activities, including but not limited to:
Industrial hygiene (IAQ, investigations, sampling, monitoring, assessments)
Health and safety code compliance- sustaining EHS and construction safety
Sustainability related projects included Corporate Social Responsibility, environmental footprint, energy use reduction, and others
Developing and delivering EHS/Occupational Health and Safety training
EHS assessments/general program compliance audits
Regulatory compliance
Occupational safety surveys/inspections
Workstation ergonomic evaluations with support from other ergonomic staff
Environmental issues (air, wastewater, hazardous waste)

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
Go into task tracking database and complete tasks that are due
Work with operations teams to troubleshoot safety or environmental incidents or issues
Complete regulatory inspections

Required Skills:
List of all the skills required (education, technical and soft skills) required to be successful in the position
Education: BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
5+ years experience in the EHS Field
Have strong communication and writing skills.
Preferred to have someone who has experience using our client Office Tools (eg Gdocs)

Nice to Have Skills/Not Required:
List of extra skills that would be nice to have but are not required to be successful in the position
Certification or license (ex. CSP, CHMM)
Experience using our client Office Tools (eg Gdocs)
Experience using industrial hygiene instruments such as noise meter
