Position Description
  • In this role, you'll have a unique opportunity to influence communications for dozens of products. The communications that you create will inform employees of technology changes and prepare employees to reduce downtime. You'll also have a hand in determining how communications will be handled going forward by creating templates and guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with partner team POCs, product managers, and engineers to gather background information, define deliverables, identify stakeholders, and create a communications plan and timeline.
  2. Write clear, concise user-facing emails and notifications for internal products.
  3. Use internal tools to manage recipient lists and send mass emails.
  4. Create DIY materials for partner teams so that they can plan, write, and send their own emails and notifications for low priority projects.
  5. Maintain current signage through content updates.
  6. Create DIY materials and a handoff plan to allow partner teams to manage and create signage going forward.
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of relevant experience in communications writing, preferably in a technical field.
  • Writing samples showing similar work. -
  • Superb writing, editing, and project management skills.
  • Track record shaping content for launches or projects.
  • Proven skills as a self-starter who can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment and remain focused amidst frequently changing requirements.
  • Familiarity with G Suite (gMail, Docs, Drive, etc.). - Ability to write in HTML.
  • Enjoys working closely with coworkers from a variety of disciplines.
  • Ability to lead, collaborate, and influence (with and without formal authority) engineering, design, and product management teams.
  • Past experience using tools to send communications (ex: MailChimp).
