The Team

The Role You will join a new and rapidly growing team developing innovative energy solutions for today's rapidly changing energy markets. You will be creating and leading engagements with key customers and partners, and working closely with engineering and product teams to help design and deliver products that surprise and delight customers, and help save the world. You will draw from your experience in the energy sector to help guide engagements and strategic direction for related products, and take initiative to make things happen in this small and entrepreneurial team.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Manage partner and customer relationships as one of our primary points of contact
  • Work directly with customers to discern their product needs and desires; identify and summarize specific problem areas related to better understanding their energy needs; identify related technology gaps, and help implement Client and sometimes formative solutions
  • Collect, distill, and communicate customer-specific and general market feedback on current & prospective products to colleagues on the Viaduct team who together will scale applicable solutions
  • Identify & evaluate new business, product & partnership opportunities
  • Generate and manage a sales pipeline of prospective customers in target markets
  • Support execution, and advance strategic partnerships with relevant energy & IT companies
  • Collaborate with market evaluation teams that perform techno-economic analysis and feasibility analysis
Required Skills:
  • Bachelors Degree in any field 3+ yrs experience in the energy industry, preferably with renewables (has to have some experience in energy)
  • Experience in renewable energy business roles
  • Ability to navigate complex organizations and advance the decision-making & procurement processes for new technology
  • High emotional intelligence and empathy, especially in working with people from different cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds
  • Ability to prioritize team outcomes above individual goals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; can communicate effectively with executives as well as engineers from a wide range of technical backgrounds
  • Comfort and enthusiasm to travel internationally, sometimes in rural environments
  • Demonstrated experience and passion for applying technologies to make the world a radically better place
Preferred qualifications:
  • Partnerships or Program Manager experience
  • Operational experience driving deals and market engagement in energy-related business
  • Experience with DERs industry and trends
  • Strong feelings about where the energy markets are headed
  • Renewables rolodex
  • Killer with a spreadsheet, listen like a bat
