Project Soli is a new pico radar for touchless interaction and environmental awareness. Soli brings devices to life. It understands and anticipates you, making everyday interactions simple and effortless. The goal of the Soli project is to develop high-impact products that fundamentally rethink and improve interactions with our devices, creating intelligent machines that continuously understand the world around them.

Role

As an Applied Machine Learning Software Engineer, you will work closely with the Soli machine learning team to develop state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms for radar. In this role, you will develop scalable software that will directly contribute to improving the quality of Soli's machine learning models and radar-based interactions. You will work closely with the Soli team to improve algorithm performance and play an integral role enabling new state-of-the-art touchless interfaces that will be applied across a range of products and use cases.

6 Key Responsibilities

-Develop scalable software that can automatically process, clean, and validate millions of data recordings to build high quality machine-learning datasets.
-Develop software for evaluating the quality of Soli machine learning models; identifying specific failure cases to help the team focus on resolving specific errors.
-Train, evaluate, and debug machine learning models.
-Develop software to visualize machine learning models.
-Deploy optimized models for real-time inference.

Requirements

M.S. / PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Mathematics, or a related field; or, 5 years equivalent practical experience.
3+ years industry experience in C++, with working knowledge of C and/or Python .
-Strong working knowledge of high-performance computing (e.g., MapReduce).
-Strong working knowledge of efficient data structures and programming techniques.

Nice to Have:

-Experience with one or more of the following: data capture infrastructure, computer vision, signal processing, algorithm development, visualization, developing algorithms for Client sensors.
-Relevant experience with developing machine learning algorithms in tensorflow or other related machine learning libraries
-Exp. shipping products with a machine learning component
