Project Overview:
You will provide strategic, analytical and technical support for the Business Intelligence activities for your team. You will use your business acumen and technical knowledge to develop and deliver Business Intelligence solutions for your internal customers. You will work with the business in understanding their evolving requirements. You will also work closely with Engineering to deliver practical solutions of real business benefit, and design and develop your own prototype solutions.

As a Quantitative Marketing Analyst for Geo and Photos, you will evaluate and help to measure impact of marketing initiatives across integrated campaigns, global partnerships, and growth marketing. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of global and country marketing, product management, analytics and engineering teams to tap into the underlying data, align on key metrics & methodologies, and generate insights to drive user growth.

Overall Responsibilities:
  • Work with large, complex data sets across multiple products. Solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems.
  • Conduct end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering and requirements specification, processing, analysis, ongoing deliverables, and presentations.
  • Executes with limited guidance and proactively takes initiative to kick off work streams and projects.
  • Build and update product dashboards to track trends over time and understand the underlying causes to inform actionable recommendations for the marketing team.
  • Prototype and build analysis pipelines to provide insights at scale.
  • Create marketing channel measurement plans, provide weekly reports across channels, and identify trends and insights at scale.
  • Drive analysis and make recommendations on levers to optimize product usage, engagement and retention
  • Interact cross-functionally with a wide variety of people and teams. Work closely with global and country marketing teams, product management, analytics, and engineers to identify opportunities for improvements to our client products.
  • Deliver effective presentations on findings and business recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders (senior executives, global marketers, product)
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
  • Updating Photos and Maps dashboards with key metrics, reporting trends and highlights
  • Track and report performance of marketing campaigns and impact on product usage at Country or city level
  • Conduct multivariate analysis and experiments to guide growth tactics to increase product engagement for Photos and Maps, both on the consumer and merchant side.
Required Skills:
  • BA/BS degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., data science, economics, computer science, mathematics, engineering discipline)
  • 4 years of relevant work experience in data analysis for a business application, especially requires expertise in SQL
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and distill data into actionable insights
  • Demonstrated presentation skills to key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication skills
Nice to Have Skills/Not Required:
  • Experience with any of the following: Firebase Analytics, our client Analytics, Bigquery. Also a plus, familiarity with our client internal tools: Dremel, GoogleSQL, PLX, DasNav, Contour
  • Fluency with Tableau and other relevant tools to manipulate and analyze big data.
  • Familiar with common direct marketing channels and tools including AdWords, AdSense, Doubleclick, or AdMob
  • Ability to work effectively across functions and geographies
  • Ability to dig in and understand the details of a problem while at the same time understanding the strategic view.
