Data Center Supply Chain Management Specialist

Project Overview:
You will be responsible for all aspects order to delivery procurement and supply chain operations in support of our client's cutting edge technology and business needs. The primary categories include power and cooling equipment, such as back-up power generators, mechanical cooling and electrical switchgear and controls. You will be expected to participate on large projects, as well as understand and resolve issues that are critical to company objectives. You will be a key part of an end-to-end supply chain team that drives continuous improvement and ensures operational excellence in support of our client's rapid growth.

Supply Chain Management Specialists work with Engineering, Project Management and Finance teams to make sure our client has the supplies and equipment to put into production the innovative products coming from our Engineering teams. As a Supply Chain Management Specialist, you will use your industry knowledge and supply chain management experience to optimize our lead times and insure continuity of supply for our global -- and growing -- infrastructure. The scale at which our client operates means that improvements for just one piece of hardware can have a huge impact on our client's bottom line.

Overall Responsibilities:
Drafting Purchase Order (PO) details and tracking POs within our internal Project Information & Metric Management System (PIMMS)
Providing periodic reports on the overall status of PO placements, equipment shipments, deliveries and payments
Support on Compliance, Deviations & Exceptions (CDE) reviews regarding tracking and closure on specifications and services between suppliers, engineering and internal project management teams.
Procurement and supply chain support on spares requests from internal Data Center Operations or Project Management teams

Top 3 Responsibilities:
Coordinating details, such as lead times, delivery schedules, quantities and types of equipment between suppliers and contractors for Owner Negotiated -Contractor Procured (ONCP) programs
Adding vendors and new bank account information to the procurement system for payment processing
Addressing and resolving supplier invoicing issues between Accounts Receivable and/or Project Management teams

Required Skills:
3+ years of procurement experience
3+ years of supply chain management experience
Some equipment management experience
Knowledge of Purchase Orders

Nice to Have Skills:
BS degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or other relevant science, or MBA degree.
Supply chain management experience in the data center/mission critical, energy or construction industry
