Team Background:
The PeopleDev Client Partner and Organizational Development (CPOD) team helps leaders and teams across the globe address their critical organizational development needs. We are currently seeking a versatile program manager to support the strategy and delivery of our scalable Team Development program for L2-L7 Googlers. The ideal candidate will have experience working in team development, excel at program and project management, is able to manage and influence stakeholders effectively, and can navigate an ambiguous environment.

We leverage tools, technology, and innovative formats to scale learning and support Googlers at all stages of their careers — from Noogler Orientation, to manager training, to leadership development, and more. Top 3 Daily Responsibilities
  1. Partner across the g2g team and the CPOD team to program manage the global team development programs for L2-L7 teams. This includes setting and executing strategy, measuring impact, selecting and on-boarding volunteers, and managing all online and offline content and resources.
  2. Partner with others to build and maintain a robust, high-quality, connected community of Team Development volunteer consultants by recruiting, selecting, on-boarding, developing, and recognizing volunteers.
  3. Collaborate across CPOD to evaluate the impact of our team development offerings, make content and strategy improvements as necessary, and communicate with key stakeholders.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the PeopleOps owner for the gTeams exercise (go/gTeams-enroll), which entails: resolving inquiries; working with PeopleWorks; partnering with others to update content related to gTeams as needed; and evaluating volume/effectiveness and taking action.
  • Field inquiries from PeopleDev and PeopleOps partners as well as business stakeholders on the program and be able to make recommendations related to the development of team effectiveness.
  • Identify and implement ways to run the program more efficiently and effectively over time and direct resources to the most high impact work.
Required Skills:
  • BA/BS degree (Organizational Development, Psychology, Human Resources or other equivalent degree) Manager will consider 4 additional years relevant work experience in consulting, designing, facilitating, and/or deploying team-building interventions in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant work experience in consulting, designing, facilitating, and/or deploying team-building interventions.
  • Excellent project and program management skills coupled with strong attention to detail and a high tolerance for ambiguity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for all levels
  • Strategic thinking and planning
  • High level of self-initiative, creativity, and flexibility with the ability to work independently

  • Ability to build credibility and relationships across different functions and stakeholder groups.
Nice to have:
  • Experience in designing and implementing community driven programs/initiatives
  • Demonstrated proficiency in website user experience and instructional design
  • Clear understanding of business needs and sensitivity to differences across various groups (functions, regions, etc)
