Overview
As a Technical Program Manager (TPM) in Android Security, you will lead a complex, challenging and multidisciplinary effort to deliver security improvements for Android. While balancing long-term objectives with short term crises, you will need to hone your team's analyses and recommendations, and use your technical skills to understand, discuss, design and prioritize technical trade-offs and implementation work. You can come help secure the next billion devices! Success in this role will require you to build strong connections throughout the Android team and with Android partners. You will also need to coordinate with product teams throughout our client as well as the our client Security, Abuse, Policy and Legal teams.

As a Technical Program Manager at our client, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Top Responsibilities:
  1. Manage engineering and operational teams in the design, test and deployment of new Android security projects, updates and features.
  2. Plan, design, coordinate and deliver cross-functional programs and engineering projects that contribute to the improving security of Android.
  3. Set and achieve challenging project goals and build trust and influence across teams.
Required Skills:
  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience managing multi-group, multi-disciplinary software development projects.
  • Experience with handling security incidents and/or leading security feature development
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, prioritization abilities
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • History of achieving objectives on schedule, on budget, and within quality targets.
Nice to Haves:
  • MS in Computer Science or related engineering field.
  • Firm sense of accountability and ownership for end-to-end project lifecycle
  • Strong knowledge of the tools and elements of project management.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Data-driven analytical approach towards solving complex challenges
