Computer Vision / Video Machine Learning Engineer

Project Overview: 
The project's goal is to reduce healthcare costs and improve quality of life metrics through Client optical sensors. The candidate will be responsible for developing optical processing techniques to extract physiological signals such as heart rate, respiration rate, and cardiac hemodynamics. The candidate will work with internal and external collaborators to develop and implement new algorithms while analyzing real clinical data. 

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities: 
  1. Development of Client computer algorithms for extracting physiological measurements 
  2. Maintaining the algorithm test framework for evaluating performance 
  3. Assisting in the deployment of new platforms to acquire additional clinical study data 
Overall Responsibilities: 
  • Establishing a quantitative test framework for the evaluation of algorithm performance using clinical study data 
  • Coordinating with clinicians to establish metrics and ground truth labels 
  • Algorithm design to improve current performance 
  • Evaluation of camera systems for performance tradeoffs 
  • Support the acquisition of additional clinical study data (assist with new camera system selection, assist with the study design to optimize data acquisition, monitor study data as it is acquired) 

Required Skills: 
  • MS in Computer Science 
  • 4+ years of computer vision and image processing experience 
  • Knowledge of modern computer vision machine learning techniques 
  • Proven track record of independent, Client algorithm design 
  • Matlab proficiency 
  • C++ proficiency 
  • Good communication & documentation skills 
Nice to Have Skills/Not Required: 
  • PhD in Computer Vision or related field 
  • Motion detection and optical flow techniques 
  • OpenCV 
  • Android development 
  • Camera system benchmarking experience
