Project Overview: 
The Global Demand team within Consumer Hardware Planning and Fulfilment a (HWPF) is responsible for the generation of a demand signal for supply and materials planning for all our client Consumer Hardware. The Planning Center of Excellence (COE) within the department supports all of HWPF teams with analysis and process improvement - including but not limited to the generation of an analytical forecast, ownership of business intelligence, and analysis supporting the decisions made in planning. 

As a Data Analyst, you will work closely with partners in HWPA, Sales, Finance, and Supply Planning to directly support the growth of our client's Hardware by developing a Demand Plan and improved analytical inputs to the planning process across multiple products and geographies. 

Overall Responsibilities: 
  • Drive improvement in data integrity as subject matter expert on quantitative inputs to planning process 
  • Take a "hands-on” approach in building and maintaining datasets with standard format to house multiple incoming sources including system, data warehouse, and qualitative data gathering methods 
  • Own the generation of the global demand plan by executing a Consensus Demand Planning process with inputs from multiple teams and resulting in a final forecast for supply chain execution 
  • Work with large, complex data sets. Solve difficult, non-routine analysis problems, applying analytical methods as needed including research and development analysis, forecasting, and optimization methods to improve the quality of the Supply Chain planning process 
  • Define data structures and metrics, work with business to align definitions, advocating for changes where needed 
  • Interact cross-functionally with a wide set of stakeholders and teams at varied levels of the organization to enact data maintenance process 
  • Make recommendations and present findings through visual displays of quantitative information 
  • Investigate new data sources, monitor data quality issues and set policies for future data collection 

Top 3 Daily Responsibilities: 
  1. Global Demand Planning for our client Consumer Hardware products 
  2. Set up process for data gathering plus building and maintaining complex datasets used by all planning partners 
  3. Solve analytical problems on ad-hoc basis as needed to improve quality of Demand Plan, report findings to stakeholders 

Required Skills: 
  • BA/BS degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. statistics, bioinformatics, computational biology, computer science, applied mathematics, or similar) 
  • 2-5 years of experience as an data analyst with the understanding of Supply Chain Planning functions 
  • Experience with statistical software (R, SAS, or similar) 
  • Experience with databases and scripting languages (SQL, or similar) 
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to multi-task, set priorities and work efficiently in a high-paced environment
