Project Overview: 
Verily (formerly our client Life Sciences) is focused on shifting health care from a reactive, undifferentiated approach to a proactive, targeted approach by transforming the detection, prevention, management, and even our basic understanding of disease. We are currently developing multiple hardware devices that will require end-to-end testing to ensure that we can deliver safe, high quality products. 

Overall Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure the correctness and completeness of products containing software. 
  • Test suite by: reviewing existing and newly-submitted tests for correctness and usability, creating new tests where missing, updating, improving, and correcting tests where necessary. 
  • Run manual test cases and test protocols, improve test cases over time, log and track bugs or defects, and draft test reports for review by full time employee. 
  • Write comprehensive test plans and corresponding test cases for components and features. 
  • Find bugs and apply engineering rigor to reproduce and diagnose those bugs, write concise and descriptive bug reports and present test results to other project stakeholders clearly and effectively.

Required Skills: 
  • Education: CS major preferred, Biomedical, chemical, electrical or other engineering backgrounds suitable. 
  • 4 years of experience in manual testing for software/firmware on devices, medical devices preferred, but not required. 
  • 4 years of regression testing automation 
  • 4 years of python scripting 
  • Demonstrate good exploratory and functional testing skills. 
  • Detail orientation and history of high quality output are a must. 
  • Experience with bug tracking tools (JIRA) 
  • Experience with our client apps (docs, sheets, slides) 
Nice to Have Skills: 
  • Medical device testing experience 
  • Experience with automation tools 
  • Experience scripting/coding in Python
