Outsourcing Support

  • The Outsourcing Support role supports the Outsourcing function for Product Development in North America.
  • The Outsourcing Support works in a global and cross-functional environment to support all aspects of the Product Development Outsourcing process, collaborating with Product Engineering, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Process all purchase requisitions correctly and completely in a timely manner, following established processes
  • Review and monitor the Outsourcing Services Tracking (OST) Tool for Goods Receipt Number (GRN) processing and create receipts in SAP
  • Serve as the central point of contact for on-boarding of outsourcing resources in North America.
  • Recommend changes/improvements to the outsourcing services process, as necessary, to develop the optimal process for all locations.
  • Member of the North American Outsourcing Group, attending meetings as required.
  • Be aware of any system enhancements, new training opportunities, user issues, processes, etc.
  • Provide additional support to North American team as needed to ensure the efficient and timely completion of specific project milestones.
  • Immediately escalate to manager any issues that may affect outsourcing processes and procedures.
  • Responsible for managing their invoice workflow list in SAP and solving issues to ensure suppliers are paid in a timely manner
  • Upload invoices to OST and forward to Client Accounts Payable as needed
  • The qualified candidate will have/be:
  • A Bachelor's degree or an Associate Degree plus a minimum 2 years of engineering experience in Purchasing and/or invoice processing functions
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.
  • Advanced user in Office applications
  • Fluency in English with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong problem solver with solid analytical skills
  • Detailed oriented, with high level of accuracy
  • The ideal candidate will have:
  • Experience in and knowledge of Services Purchasing and Accounts Payable
  • Ability to effectively communicate (verbal and written) issues, problems, and observations of work being performed.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross discipline teams as well as being a strong individual contributor.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision managing multiple projects and tasks
  • Leadership & team working ability, excellent relationship skills.
