Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project:
The role of the Compensation Lead/Analyst is critical to the success of Cross of California and the Human Resources department in realizing its goals and objectives.The Compensation function within Cross of California (BSC) is an in-house center of expertise and consulting team. This team provides leadership and guidance in the development and delivery of effective compensation strategies and policies that support BSC's goals, and are in alignment with enterprise values, philosophy and strategic direction. The Compensation Lead/Analyst will provide counsel and recommendations to the business to ensure understanding and effective use of our compensation programs.
Refine and administer compensation programs in alignment with Cross's mission, vision and business objectives, while informing programs with a market-competitive lens
Maintain the career framework through the job evaluation process, ensuring that positions are evaluated against the established set of criteria and are leveled consistently across the organization, and partner on the warehousing of job descriptions to ensure a singular repository
Maintain and apply knowledge related to compliance and government regulations regarding pay, including the FLSA statute
Manage the company's base pay programs through participating in salary surveys, and analyzing and interpreting market data to develop recommendations related to promotional guidance, market adjustments, grade assignments and salary structure movement
Act as a subject matter expert in advising to HR as it relates to interpreting compensation policies, guidelines and plan documents and prepare analysis and reports to support this consulting as appropriate
Internal/External Groups with which the Candidate will interface with:
HRBPs and other HR teams, managers, Client (vendor)
Will this candidate interface with IT and business teams? If so, which ones?
Possibly IT or Finance on a limited basis
How does this project impact the line of business or BSC as a whole?
Provides compensation consulting to HRBPs and managers
Required Skills (top 3 to 5/ non-negotiables):

Minimum of 5 years of compensation experience required (or relevant experience)
Experience providing compensation consulting to a line of business
Compensation data analysis experience (i.e. regression analysis)
Experience conducting an FLSA review
Ability to ramp up quickly in a new setting

Bachelor's degree required with emphasis on mathematics, finance or economics preferred
Software Skills Required:
Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel required, with advanced knowledge preferred; MS Access and PowerPoint preferred
