Director, Network Architecture & Engineering
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to provide strong leadership for the Network Architecture and Engineering team. This position is based out of our Headquarters in San Ramon, CA.
  • Lead an international team of highly skilled Network Architects and Operations Engineers in a production, cloud served, 24 x 7 environment
  • Hire and direct employees and initiate new designs and architecture that will facilitate a next generation IP platform
  • Initiate projects, process and technology for Network Operations improvements
  • Analyze history of network related incidents and perform preventive measures  
  • Foster troubleshooting skills, tools and best practices on network related issues and communicate with customers
  • Select and manage Network hardware and software service providers
  • Develop operational processes that improve efficiencies and customer retention
  • Work with US and International Network Engineers to increase skill levels
  • Manage Network Change Requests and architectural advancements via change control process
  • Proven leadership capabilities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • 10+ years of experience, Cisco certified CCNA engineer, (CCIE and CCNP desired.) ITIL certification desired
  • 7+ years of experience on a service provider network in engineering or operations roles with at least 3 years of demonstrated team leadership success with an exceptionally strong data-driven analytical approach towards solving complex challenges
  • Should have experience with architecture and implementations of solutions involving large data centers, interoffice routing plans, site2site VPNs, FWs, IPSec, monitoring, etc.
  • Hands-on skills for Cisco IOS and Nexus OS are a must
  • Documenting solutions with diagrams and proper description is a must
  • Knowledge and experience in managing Cisco Nexus 7k/5k/2k, Cisco ASA 5585 firewalls, ASR 1000 and 2000 Routers, 3750 and 4900 Switches, SSL-VPN, authentication servers, F5 load balancer, and Palo Alto Networks
  • Experience with incident response, information assurance, computer security best practices, system hardening, vulnerability management, antivirus, firewalls, IPS/IDS monitoring, and techniques for analyzing TCP/IP network traffic and event logs
  • Demonstrate knowledge of platform operating systems (router platforms, LAN, WAN, and router protocols) MPLS, OSPF, and BGP, and how they interact with the network
  • Knowledge of Linux network functions
  • Saas/Cloud based software environment strongly desired
  • Project management skills a plus
