Responsible for providing programmatic occupational health services at LBNL's employee occupational health clinic to ensure employee health, compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and best ES&H management practices. The clinical services provided shall include but are not limited to performing medical surveillance examinations and occupational illness and injury assessment, treatment, referral and consultation for employees in a complex and dynamic research environment.
• At least five (5) years' experience directly related to occupational health.
• Shall have knowledge of applicable federal, State of California and local regulations, including workers' compensation laws.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing or an accredited physician assistant program and a current license to practice as an Adult or Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the State of California are required; license must be free from disciplinary actions.
• Certification in spirometry, audiometry, and CPR.
• Shall have the ability to effectively consult with others and independently resolve a variety of complex problems as well as a strong understanding of technical processes, applicable safety regulations, and program/project management.
• Shall have knowledge of additional occupational health fields such as industrial hygiene and occupational safety.
