The Solution Specialist will be responsible for the delivery of R&D business units' requests for Sharepoint collaboration solutions while respecting the services' governance rules, timelines and SLAs primarily using Agile Methodology.

Business Analysis: Define the problem faced by the business and determine the scope of a solution to that problem. Improve the process, organizational change or technology components.

Facilitate qualification meetings to ensure the request fits within the scope of the service.
Examine business needs

Facilitate requirements meeting gathering detailed business requirements and analysis of workflows, feasibility, gaps, trends and cause and effect.

Translate user requirements into specifications, ensuring needs are valid, understood and met.
Identify, validate, and document requirements

Verify requirements are necessary, correct, complete and consistent

Ensure solutions satisfy the needs of the business Advocate for the business Monitor changing requirements and coordinate negotiation

Sharepoint Design:
Use SharePoint experience and knowledge to configure out-of-the-box solutions Liaise with development team to provide requirements which cannot be delivered through out-of-the-box configuration.
Test solution provided by development team Train site owners on how to use developed functionality
Sharepoint Configuration:
Work with site owners to configure out-of-the-box solutions based on user requirements.
Apply master pages as necessary
Create /layouts/templates
Design security groups and permissions,
Create list, libraries, workflows
Work with the site owners during the migration process verifying that site works, all content is transferred and look/feel maintained Introduce enhancement features identified in requirements gathering

Prepare Mockups/Prototypes based on User Requirements
