Maintenance Tech II

Duties:
The Facilities department is responsible for providing corrective and preventive maintenance and support services for the building and all equipment at the Allston Landing Facility. Facilities is directly responsible for administering and maintaining the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) utilized to plan and track asset maintenance so as to ensure the reliable, efficient and sustained operation of the facility and all equipment. Additionally, through daily tasks, Facilities supports current project operations and site goal objectives and ensures compliance with regulatory, corporate and site requirements.
The Maintenance Technician II performs preventative and corrective maintenance and troubleshoots, with minimal supervision, complex utility systems which may include Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC), steam boiler, electronic control systems, refrigeration, electrical, compressed air and gases, Reverse Osmosis (RO) and Water For Injection (WFI) water, waste water t eatment, pure/clean steam, and/or other Biotech/pharmaceuticals utilities.
Further duties may include performing preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing process related equipment such as agitators/mixers, chromatography columns, autoclaves, glass washers, and various sanitary design pumps and valves within a cleanroom environment.
The Maintenance Technician II also interprets drawings, layouts, wiring diagrams, and specifications in planning and performing maintenance and repairs. The Maintenance Technician II is involved in new equipment and plant systems installs as necessary. The also provide day to day technical assistance to the Engineering Services, Metrology, and Validations groups.
The Maintenance Technician II participates in authoring accurate documentation for the operation and maintenance of various utility systems. They also supply information and technical data for securing spare parts. The Maintenance Technician II assists in general facility up keep and provides responsive customer support with emphasis on customer satisfaction.


Skills: Must be able to lift 35 - 40lbs
Education:
Must have HS diploma and 2 years of experience working in a maintenance role Experience working with little supervision

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience working for a maintenance organization in a CGMP Biotech/Pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
